I wear a 13E, which ordinarily is a little loose on me. This shoe came the opposite; it was snug and almost didn’t even fit.

Snap downs have been some of the best wrestling shoes my kids have had. They usually get the mat flex but love the snap down instead. Just wish they had more colors for girls (pink or purple)

It’s a nice shoe but the sizing is bonkers. You can see from the picture that the sizing is off — the EU sizing doesn’t correspond with the U.S. sizing listed on the inside of the tongue. I ordered a full size larger than my U.S. men’s size, EE. The shoe is still maybe a quarter to a half-size smaller than my actual size, and it’s definitely not a double wide. I would say that it’s average width, adjustable to be slightly wider than average. I am going to keep the shoe because it will do, but what on earth is going on with the sizing????

Ordered these on the recommendation from a friend that wrestling shoes make the best weightlifting shoes. My feet are 11.5 EE to 4E depending on the brand and these were the only wrestling shoes I could find that offered a wider than normal size. So I purchased them in the 11.5 EE size and initially found them to be very tight width wise, but I decided to wear them around the house to see if they stretched rather than send them back. After about an hour I forgot I had them on, which is a good sign and after about two workouts they more or less fit perfectly. They have excellent grip when compared to my old crosstrainers that I lifted with before and they also give me much better support for my somewhat weak ankles. Don’t get me wrong, they are still snug, almost like a pair of heavy duty socks with a rubber sole, but if they weren’t snug then I don’t think I’d get the support and grip I need.
I knocked one star off of comfort because the shoes did need a two or three days to stretch to my feet, but they are now very comfortable and I am considering purchasing a 2nd pair on the off chance this model is discontinued, so I don’t have to worry about going on another hunt for wide sized weightlifting shoes in a year or two.

The minute I opened the box, I knew the shoes were way too small. Almost a size and a half too small even though shoes are labeled with the correct size. Disappointing.

So far so good! These are great for those high schoolers with wider feet!

Fits well and my son loved the colors and style

Great fit! I like the attached tongue and improved ventilation. Much better fit than the Snapdown 2.

Good quality but not even close to be true to size, super small

They’re great! I don’t buy any other brand for my wrestling shoes.
RMMM21 –
Good shoe with a great WIDE foot fit! Well made and comfortable!

If you wear a 2E, it is tight.
4E? Forget it. But sadly this is widest shoe on the market.

Ordered a 14. These are not 14. More like 12.5 or 13. Left blisters on both my feet after 1 day.

Super light, comfortable, and grippy. Wish I could get a low-top pair, LOL.

At first my foot was tight wearing them but after wearing them for 2-3 practices they welded around the size of my foot and they feel a lot better. If you’re looking for a quality shoe to use for your wrestling season you should give these ones a try. Also the color looks cool too.

Shoes ran very small. Men’s 7.5 should be around 9 women’s and my daughter couldn’t even pull them on her feet.

So small and so snug and I have narrow feet! I need a whole size up unbelievable! I was so excited now I’m sad ?
Royal W –
They felt small at first but fit nicely after a few sessions.
Regent W –
My youth wrestlers really like the design. They are hitting double legs in these like no other.
Jacob K –
Fits a bit small compared to their fitting chart. Great shoes though! The side slit design isn’t the greatest but it’s very grippy.

My son’s wrestling coach recommended he order a size 10 but we had tried a different style and they were way to long. So we ordered both a 9 1/2 and a 10. Turns out in this shoe the coach was correct. The 10 was perfect and the 9 1/2 just a bit too small. So nice to have a wide shoe option for a kid with a fuller foot.

These shoes are so cute! I really wanted to fit them but they were so tight I couldn’t believe it! It was like putting a corset on my foot. The length was good and even the width of the footbed was true to size. The problem was when they attached the straps. The straps were attached a good 1/2 inch inside the footbed which means you lose an whole inch on the shoe. Because of that it made the whole shoe feel two sizes too small.

It is great, my son still on wearing indoor wrestling. Tnx

There isn’t a good way to slide your foot in or out of this shoe. The Tongueless design makes it harder to fit the shoe properly. I would not buy this shoe if I had been able to try it on first

I ordered these shoes twice in a size 9. Twice, they came in a box that said size 9, but inside were size 8 shoes; this happened both times. I lost confidence in the company’s ability to send me the correct shoes, so instead of returning the shoes for a second time and reordering, I decided to keep them, even though they are too small.
I will likely not make another purchase with ASICS again.
