I have worn so many running shoes that didn’t work for me. So far, Asics have at least kept me on the road or track. I like the 8 mm heel-toe offset in the NovaBlast 2 more than the 13mm Gel Nimbus. I like running in this a lot better than the Nike Pegasus. The NovaBlast 2 really exceeds that shoe, in fit and performance. Asics upper is better than other shoes out there. Some reviewers felt it ran 1/2 size big. I feel that my regular size 9 is a perfect fit. I hope Asics doesn’t change the fit on this, as there is room for my toes. The shoe is stable enough, but good energy return, too.

I wanted to like these shoes, I felt like they had potential, but just didn’t work. They were just too wide for me. I have an average width foot, maybe slightly narrow, but these shoes were so wide that when I took a step forward, the material would fold in onto my toes. I tried running in them and wound up with a blister on the top of my toe where the shoe was folding in and rubbing my toe area as I was running. I could feel the extra space on the side of my toe box area where there was so much extra space. I wish they made these in a narrow, because the length was good, so I don’t think sizing down would help me.
Another thing to mention is the stability factor. These shoes are very bouncy, which does seem to be a trend among running shoes lately. It may cause issues with getting an unstable landing if you generally wear a more stable shoe.

The NOVABLAST 2 are “VERY” comfortable, worth the money spent and leaves you feeling like you are walking on air.

great cushioning. I didn’t like so much padding at the heel and a lot less on ball of foot. seemed to slide to end edge of shoe.

I wear a 9.5 and ordered such. Fits true to size. The cushioning is as stated in the Asics description. The most cushion I have ever experienced in a shoe. My only word of caution in ordering this shoe is this….if you have server pronation, the cushioning in this shoe may cause you to pronate more. So do your research before ordering any Asics style.

I admit, I have avoided ASICS due to the heaviness/rigidity and unappealing colors. But my hubs tried the original Novablast on randomly and encouraged me to try them. Here I am on to the second gen.
After 50 miles:
Very nice upgrade to the original, which I fell in love with immediately. Still have some achilles rubbing like in the original, but nothing taller socks can’t fix. Great forefoot cushion- stack height feels stable. They are soft underfoot but also bouncy/reactive. I don’t feel like I sink into them like some shoes (Hoka). I generally use these for long runs or recovery days; But can also use them for tempo and speed work. I have wider feet for a female and these give me plenty of room. Would highly recommend and will purchase again.

Took a second to break-in. But Love them, My go to now!

So much fun to run in. Fit true to size for me. Handles slower and faster paces well (7:-8:00/mi intervals up to 10:00/mi slogs) just with more tigger bounce at the faster paces. It handles greenway asphalt and gravel surprisingly well, for a newfangled “bouncy” shoe, but the sole is definitely not meant for muddy, wet, rocky trails, as I found out when forced into a trail detour mid-run.
Upper is not as breathable as a certain rebellious nova equilibrio, but still fine on hot humid days, and it’s more comfortable and forgiving than my other shoes.

I rate this as the top daily trainer of the year. I also have the Mach 4, Clifton 7, and Endorphin Shift. So high praise, since those are great shoes too. The energy return is fantastic in this shoe. You can do anything in this shoe.

It’s like running on clouds. Love the eye-catching, vibrant colors.
Chelserita –
Great shoe! I love the cushion and new upper and shoes laces! Only thing is that I had to order a half size up from the Novablast 1
Erica E –
Excellent cushion support under the ball of my foot. I have bunions and this shoe keeps my feet feeling great even on very long runs or walks!

I have worn these twice on a 45 minute treadmill workout so far. I have had two foot surgeries, and have a toe implant. These support my feet without pain, and support my arch. I am very glad I purchased these.

I ran in ASICS for years and had to switch brands a few years back when the nimbus and cumulus fit changed. After seeing Demoore’s review, I tried the Novablast 2’s out and they are perfection! I’ve put about 120 miles on these so far and am going to pick up another pair to add to my rotation. Pros- lightweight, springy cushioning that propels me forward. Cons- kind of noisy (I’m not sneaking up on anyone in these), the heel counter dug into the top of my heel until I broke them in, and they could be more breathable. My feet were soaked to the point they were squishing after a 14 mile hot summer run.Overall, these are my new go to shoes!

I love these shoes! They are so cushiony and pillowy! It’s like walking on plush clouds! And, they look really, really nice. I love the colors!

I thought I needed a support runner (after having a pair of New Balance 860s for a while) but after visiting my local Fleet Feet store, I was introduced to this neutral runner with a little more cushion. I’m happy that I made this purchase. I love the extra bounce that the cushion provides, my feet feel great in them, and it helps make my runs enjoyable. The shoe is also true to size. I had an 8.5 in my last shoes, got an 8.5 with these, and they’re just fine.
FIGGY –
They have a ton of support and give that extra boost to finish a long run. I definitely recommend them

I am so in love with these shoes. I use for dance cardio and hiit. I bought hokas before and did not think they live up to the hype. These shoes really make my workouts easier with no calf pain afterwards. I would just have bought them half size up. I think they run small.
Jen11th –
Very comfortable and lots of cushion. I’m not a runner but I am on my feet all day and these are just what I need.
Mharv –

They are awesome. It feels like you are walking on air.
PDMN –
Absolutely in love with this shoe. Excellent for nurses and feels light on the feet.

Love these shoes! I have an achilles tendon problem and these shoes help with the pain. The sole is super soft and when you walk its
like your walking n a cushion. LOVE THEM!

I would highly suggest ordering a half size up!! I ordered a size 9 and that was already just so obviously too small. I’m reviewing the wrong order, too so I’m not sure why they’re asking me to review a pair I returned. Anyway, I bought this pair again but in a 9.5 and it’s perfect. Because normally I’ll wear slightly thicker socks. But even in the store when I went to pick them up and try them on, I used their thin fabric socks that aren’t actual socks and still felt too small. I have narrow feet and my toes may be a little longer than most but the 9 is just way too small. My mother is a long time buyer of good sneakers, she’s had ASICS in the past but she moved to Brookes and she told me that she has always ordered a half size up. I wish she had told me this info sooner haha but it all worked out. These sneakers feel like air and my running game has changed immensely, but a half size up!!

I’m really liking the versatility of this shoe from long runs to quicker tempo miles. They’re bouncy but cushioned. My only complaint is the upper already has a little hole in the mesh over my big toe after my first long run in them.
