So far the best shoe of the year for me. I will continue to use this for my training
Danish –
Light-weight, plush cushioning, highly-responsive, and fast
JBBo –
Great for those who like a firm, light, minimally padded shoe.

Have put 70 + miles on this shoe at about 6:50 pace. Good engineered upper mesh and like the heel lock down. Well, it is not a race shoe, ok training shoe. Tongue is super thin, lacing is overkill. Cushion is medium to firm. Really do not like the toe off on this shoe. You would think with the rocker that it would push you straight to your forefoot, nope. Could not even feel the 3/4 plate in the shoe. I’m moving on from this shoe, not a tempo shoe, not a race shoe and my longest run really beat up my legs. So, go figure.
Humanjet –
For the fit-I felt the shoe was a little narrow, so I had to buy a half size larger. The cushioning is fantastic but I needed several runs to break in the shoe. The upper material is breathable. Major problem is the tongue of the shoe- it moves around and it’s very thin! They need to make a gusseted tongue with some padding. There were times in the lock down of the laces, I can feel the laces across the top of my foot- which irritated my foot. So disappointing! I want to say they should build up padding around the neck of the shoe for better lock down but I brought a half size lager because they don’t make widths.

The Magic Speed is a great shoe. If it had an insole with some arch support it would be perfect.

Light-weight, good engineered upper mesh, highly-responsive and fast. Cushion is medium to firm.

I have really enjoyed these running shoes. They have a nice lively feel to them when running, they pretty light and breath very well too.
The only 2 things I would like to point are that the tongue is not padded. This is not a bad thing for my feet, how ever it may fit differently for others. Secondly I have noticed the tongue slides down ever so slightly after a long run. This could be fixed if they had placed the little loop for the laces a little higher up on the tongue of the shoe.
Overall these shoes have been a pleasure to throw on my feet for long or short distances.

i got the shoes 1 month back and since then its my racing shoes

I was a fan of the flytefoam blast on the novablast, so I decided to try the foam with the carbon fiber plate EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS!
The upper mesh isn’t as flexible so I would recommend going half a size up.
I had some issues with the heel of the shoe digging into my Achilles but nothing a band-aid can’t fix.
The shoe is amazing and you can catch me in the streets saying kachow!
B_fitnik –
Use these for everything from intervals to base runs although I won’t be using them in any races. They’re definitely a light and fast shoe but lack the bounce of the Novablast which uses the same midsole foam. Still a snappy shoe. The traction has been pretty great for me. I’ve done 400’s in the snow in these and didn’t have very much trouble with my footing compared to some other shoes in my rotation. This is my second pair so I’m still keeping them in the rotation.

Super fast! Carbon plate gives a little more spring than my Noosa Tri 13’s. Love the colorway, but with there were more to choose from.
WH H –
it’s light, responsive + very stylish. a very ASICS pair
Fernando2001 –
used them for a sprint triathlon, the feeling of the midsole felt great for the already tired legs and help a lot with running efficiency.

What can I say, I got my PB (10K) in these bad boys. They took at least 10 miles to break in. Take it for some shorter runs at first because I did get some chaffing on my heels the first times out.
Amil –
Lightweight, fast, I use it for 15K and under and love it
Will K –
Overall great shoes. They really come to life at faster paces. Ordered a half size up to allow for more toe space.
Jelena13j –
Perfect running shoes to increase your speed. Its good for a training and a race under the marathon distances. Pure enjoyment to train in this light sneakers!
JohnColeman –
Very comfortable, and I was on my feet all day! My feet love these shoes. I got lots of compliments on them as well. Worth every dime!

Lightweight shoes are very comfortable. I work at the hospital and did a ten-hour shift in the shoes with no problem! It’s a running shoe but it’s also a good walking shoe that’s my opinion! I recommend these shoes, I also got a lot of compliments on them as well!

After running the Gel DS Trainer for several years (and before that the GT 2000), I tried the Magic Speed, and I am thrilled with them. The sizing on Asics, I discovered, is not consistent. But thankfully, they exchange at no cost. I run three times a week, between 4.5 and 15 miles. Compared with the DS Trainer, the Magic Speed is better cushioned, making the run smoother. I can’t testify to any speed change or that the shoes propel the runner – one still has to do the running, no matter what the marketing people say.
MattP007 –
This is my first carbon shoe and it was amazing. Super light and comfortable and priced more reasonable that other options
DanimalMN –
Used these for my first half marathon, felt great! Comfortable and fast throughout. Helped reach my goal time! Felt different than previous Asics shoes, but acclimated quickly.
Christian R –
Got the shoe for a lightweight carbon plate shoe. I run in it often one of my favorites to run in. The plate doesn’t pop much but it is firm and stiff. I under pronate while running and this shoe helps to correct this for me.
AbelSpeed –
Light and comfortable. Would highly recommend for speed training and half marathon races.
