I broke my foot at the lisfranc arch earlier this summer. My foot is now much wider, and bigger than before and could no longer wear my older asics. I was thrilled to find a high support asic in a wide. The shoe is very comfortable and supportive for my needs!
Florida G –
best narrow width sneakers!!! Please make more narrows!
Mariaj –
It is totally different than the gt2000 9. They are wider in the toe area which makes them feel clunky. There is also less support in the forefront of the shoe

It stated it was Gore-Tex but it did not. I have to return for that reason as I need a shoe that is waterproof. Update the description!
Camille –
GORTEX ADVERTISED, BUT IS NOT!!!! SO DISAPPOINTED. DESCRIPTION INACCURATE. NOT A RAINPROOF SNEAKER.
ZAPPPOS: REWRITE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. THIS MESH-TOP SNEAKER IS NOT WEATHER-PROOF BY ANY MEANS.

I have such a hard time finding 12AA shoes and these didn’t disappointment me. I am not a runner but usually walk about 10,000 steps everyday and I suffer from OA but these were great right out of the box! Thanks ASICS! I just wish they offered a larger variety of colors in my size to choose from.
Eugenie –
After trying many size 12 and 12-1/2 (W) I chose these because 1) the collar is cut low and does not rub my ankle bone and 2) the toe box is high enough to accommodate my 77 year-old toes that are are sort of knobby. The support seems to be neutral, thank goodness, because the shoes do not make my foot roll outward. Great shoes.
Upnorthmn –
Great fit everywhere, but too narrow at the arch, on the inside. Since I already wore them I cannot return them.
Sad that Asics won’t stand behind their shoe. How else do you know if you don’t try them on?
SGF –
Hands down, these are the worst pair of Asics I have ever had. After one mile on a flat, easy walk, my feet started aching. There is no support, the box is ridiculously wide, and it feels like a piece of cardboard for support. Completely awful, weirdly-designed shoes, and way too expensive for how terrible they are. I’m deeply unhappy. It is this model that is particularly awful. Go with another model of Asics — I like Asics, but these are almost worse than going barefoot.
Narrowoverpronator –
still the best narrow stability running shoe on the market in my opinion. But i liked the GT-2000 8 better. With each upgrade, the uppers are getting flimsier and flimsier, and the footbed wider and wider. I hope the GT-2000 11 is a true narrow again.

I have been wearing 9.5 Narrow GT-2000s for the last couple of years. They are true narrows that hug my low volume feet and provide the firm support that my orthopedist recommended for my tendonitis and plantar fasciitis issues. This new model is different. Runs a half size larger and the foot bed is almost a 1/4″ wider–no longer a true narrow. Arch support is not as good as previous versions. Also, the firm bottom layer used to be a material called Dynamic Duomax. The new bottom layer is a softer, spongier material called Lite Truss. Back they go. Luckily I bought extra pairs of the prior 8 and 9 versions. Asics, please go back to making true narrows, and keep the GT 2000 with a firm foot bed with arch support!
Julia –
Really wanted to love these. Extreme comfort out of the box, and the wide width was actually great and true to width unlike other ASICS styles. Unfortunately, they made me over pronate due to the cushioning and lack of stability at the toe box/mid foot, and I’m typically a very neutral runner (even slightly supinated). Was nervous to mess my foot positioning, so I had to return.
Runsub –
I love the ASICS GT series and have been running in them since the past 11 years. So I was very disappointed to see that the new ASICS Gt 2000 10 has a wide toebox even though I purchased Narrow width. My foot rolls while running and the running experience is completely sloppy. Please bring back the earlier fit ASICS for us narrow footed women! Will have to return these as I am unable to run in them.
Nancy –
I have a very narrow/slim foot and have relied Asics for years. My last Asics were the GT-2000 9 which were a perfect fit. The only complaint I have is that after only a few months my toe poked through the end of the left shoe which is my smaller foot. The GT2000 10 felt a bit wider and definitely longer so that the shoe slipped on my heel. I am returning them and will give the Brooks Ghost 14 a try. Fingers crossed. Thank you Zappos for continuing to carry narrow width shoes and for allowing those of us who hard to fit try out various shoes. I very much appreciate your service.
KKayT –
Look floppy from above, but their width is what makes them very comfortable. Helps me walk without pain with my bunion. Medium arch support.

I am returning this pair of sneakers sadly. I’ve been wearing this style – the GT-2000 for a few years now and this version 10 feels cheaper and not made as well. With the pair I received something is wrong with the right shoe, it gaps and rubs on my inner foot in a strange manner not\ matter how loose or tight I make the laces. The heal of the shoe feels too short, like it’s falling off of my foot. These are very narrow, too narrow to be considered a normal width. Buyer beware.

I ordered 4 pair of ASICS with a wide price range and kept these. They are really comfortable with lots of toe box room which matters to me. I don’t like squished toes! They’re a little less “attractive” because of the boxy shape but the comfort was worth it.
Alice –
I love these shoes for myself and have owned multiple pairs over the years. However, my kid is apparently too tough on her shoes for these to last. After only 2 months of wear, she has a hole in one shoe and the other is close to having a hole in the toe. 🙁

Fit and size was fine. The color was not what I expected. It says “black and white” but these are not black. They are charcoal grey.

Fits comfortably. Very cut sneaker — I love the color combination.

I have been wearing this same ASICS model shoe for many years. They are supportive and comfortable. I just lately have needed to change size to a wide width, and was happy to find them available at Zappos. They are more comfortable for me in the wider width, and I am very happy with them.

I usually wear a 8 1/2 shoe but, in a tennis shoe go up to a 9. The 9 was perfect. They are light weight and in the light blue color, very cute on my feet!!
Remodelmama –
I was having hip pain. I switched back to an old pair of GT 2000 Asics. My hip felt better. They were pretty worn. I purchased this awesome blue color sneakers. My hip hasnt hurt since I’ve been wearing my Asics. I will be stayingl with my Asics sneakers from now on.
Janna V –
They run a tad long. In all other ways, they do not disappoint. Excellent purchase.

I’m 72 years with medical conditions which symptoms caused incredible foot/leg/back problems – weakness, swollen ankles, lack of endurance, off gait, back/pelvic pain. These asic GT2000’s offer incredible all-over support, including ankle support like a good boot, but w/o covering the ankle!
