These had no cushioning in the forefoot, which I need for playing table tennis. The fit was good.

These are very comfortable shoes with a lot of support. I”m using them for indoor pickle ball and they’re perfect!

I have been a die hard fan of the Gel Tactic 2 — I have 3 pairs, and they have never hurt my feet, my joints and back have never hurt from playing, and most important of all: They allowed me to move fast and aggressive on court due to their lightness and fairly low to the ground feeling.
This new model however — seems to be more padded and offers more support, which is great and all, but the weight has bumped up, as well as the size and bulk of the build of this shoe. Your feet are a little higher up, and not able to take off so fast and cut directions so smooth.
I do hope the Gel Tactic 2 model as it is will still be considered to be made in production, because it offered more than enough cushioning/support, and allowed speed and agility to excel as well.

These shoes are even better than the previous generation, in my opinion! As a group ex instructor who suffers from occasional nerve pain in my forefoot, these are a MUST. I use them for indoor cardio classes that feature lots of power moves such as plyometric lunges, skaters, power squats, burpees, and jump shots. The firm soles are just what the doctor ordered, the cushion is firm but supportive, and the lower heel-to-toe ratio is very helpful. These are grippy, provide great ankle stability in lateral moves, and still work well for speed movements like running.

They have a great weight to them. My daughter says they are comfortable and feel great on the court. Feel well made. And fit true to size.
