If your foot loved nimbus 16, nimbus 22, nimbus 23, novablast 2, metaspeed edge, your going really like this one.
I have tons of Asics models. The Kinsei Blast is one of Asics best all around shoe. Nimbus was my go to work shoe,and working out. Metaspeed edge was running, Novablast was a recovery shoe if feet were sore.
The Kinsei Blast can do it all. I can work, and not switch to the metaspeed edge when running and run in the Kinsei Blast and be just as happy if I want that day. To me this 179.99 KB is a steal. I will buy more colorways as I can’t find any real weakness in the shoe. I have all top of the line running shoes from brooks, nike, saucony, new balance, adidas, but mostly Asics and no shoe in it’s price range and a few that cost more can touch it. It’s only a plate from mid sole to heel I think, and it feels way better then my elite 2s, vaporflys, and endorphin pro 2s. The Kinsei Blast will be my next couple purchases in colorways. I noticed out of 40 pair of shoes plus, all running I own, I can’t stopping using these shoes for Everything, Work, Run, Play,Walk, Weights. Store, whatever. A good plate not overboard with rocking. The worst is the vaporfly. Stability is terrible for turning and bad grip on wet concrete or street cause slip. This shoe blows any plate away I own except the metaspeed sky and edge is just a bit better for running. If your a Nimbus die hard, try these shoe, I buy more Nimbus shoes then anything, but this maybe my new Nimbus.

Ran two 5k’s with these so far, and I really like them. My only complaint is that I should’ve gotten the WIDE instead of standard–but that’s on me and my dang high arches. I noted standard width in my review selection, because I normally order wide, and idk I just forgot this time — it’s only noticeable by a tightness in the toebox after ~2 miles of running, anyway.
I was between these, some HOKA one one’s and the Nimbus 23’s and these had a bit more spring in the step when I tried them on, and I liked the top design more.
The heel / low achilles padding is comfy and works great to keep your heel in place.
I used to run a lot and play field sports, but peaked almost a decade ago, and have only recently gotten back into running. I got these specifically for training for a half marathon. Note I won’t be breaking ankles and juking out some fools in these — they’re just not built for that. I got my feet scanned and have a neutral run, so I wasn’t looking for serious support, just cushion for my poor knees that have to deal with me being 30lbs overweight.

I bought this shoe for long easy runs and it didn’t disappoint. Typical ASCIS quality and incredible cushioning and fit. Actually it has also now become my favorite daily wear shoe as well !

Love the Kinsei Blast. The fit, for me, is pretty perfect the upper is breathable and caresses my wideish foot nicely. Cushioning is awesome with enough support to feel secure. I know gel may be considered “old” technology, but it just works really really well with this foam and plate. These are now my go-to shoes.

Great purchase. I bought it as a replacement to the a Metaride, that I had been using for more than a year. Kinsei is easier to adapt than Metaride by far!

I was amazed by the performance and feel of this shoe. Fit was good, cushioning was superb and the craftsmanship was top quality. The only change I would make is if the rubber patches on the tread were a bit more soft and pliable. On the road they are great but walking on tile or linoleum, they make tap/slap sounds. Very hard to sneak up on anyone. A softer compound would create some stealth to your movements. If you walk into dirty hard surfaces it is like walking on grit.

Giving 1 star because I was sent the wrong shoe for a second time. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to using these to start running/training with my son. One time error I can understand but twice!!! Not a good look for Zappos =(
