very narrow, run half size smaller; no improvement in fabric, looks like it will break above great toe easily, same as my current Excite 8 that got hole above great toes after 4 months wearing them to work in the hospital; they don’t have enough height above toes, to flat.
I have to put heel gel insert to get enough heel elevation

I’m very happy with my new sneakers because I was able to find my size 10.5.. I feel very comfortable with them walking, exercising, or just doing casual stuff… will continue to order as long they have 10.5

I wish Asics would go back to consistent sizing. Until lately, a size 8 was always a size 8. I’ve ordered six pair of Asics in the last year. I ended up with 4 size 8.5s and 2 size 8s. All took a trip back to Zappos before getting a shoe that fit. So, back to Zappos these go to change this 8.5 for an 8. My foot has not changed size. I could understand the inconsistency if I were crossing brands.

I started wearing the Gel-Excite 5 years ago when the 6 came out. I have had all the other ones in between and I won’t wear anything else. I am on my feet at work almost 12 hours and my feet never hurt after my shifts. The new Gel-Excite-9 was like walking on a cloud. I didn’t even have to break them in like I normally do.

Whoa! A full size too big! Had to send back. Otherwise okay, the pink is bigger and brighter up close and personal.

I love my new shoes! They are super comfortable for running errands and for actually running. I ran my first 5K with these and had no pain. Just like my previous version of gel excite, I purchased these a half size bigger (bought a 9, normally 8.5) and they fit perfectly.

Asics are made for me feet. Especially this model. I have narrow feet, high instep and long toes. Also have hammertoe so room in the toe box is critical. I’m also a bit vain, so style is huge. I wear an 8 in some Asics and 8.5 in others. These are 8.5. Fit is great, good support, hit the ball of my foot where it should. Love ASICS

I am usually a 9.5 in sneakers (9 in other shoes) and I ordered the 9.5 which fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and supportive for cross training.

I sent these back because I felt like they run small. I got a half size bigger and they fit and feel very comfortable. I almost always order ASICS for my treadmill shoes and they always last. Usually the soles get slick well before the fabric ever gives out.

I really liked the Asics Gel excite 8, and so did my husband, so much so that we’ve abandoned New Balance for Asics after over 20 years. I have a really narrow foot, but some bunion and other issues. Asics doesn’t come in a narrow, but I discovered their mediums will work for me in the gel excite models. That being said, the new gel excite 9 is a tad bit wider than the 8. At first I worried it wouldn’t work, but it does. There is more padding around the ankle of the shoe, which I actually don’t live because it seems to push my foot forward a bit. They run long enough that it’s ok, and I was able to ear my same size as always, and 8 1/2. This gel excite 9 feels more cushiony also, which I really like. All in all, these are more comfortable I think, but I’ve worn them only two days. I love Asics Gel excite shoes. None of the other Asics work for me.

I am not one to write reviews about shoes. These impressed me enough to voice an opinion. So here goes;
After trying a LOT of different running shoes starting with Hokas, which I found to be too squishy/bouncy for my preference, I landed last on these Asics Gel-Excite 9. Last, because I did not want to buy them just because they are presented in my favourite colours and are ridiculously pretty for running shoes. However, the fit was perfection, as I am exactly between a size 7.5 and 8M, got the size 8 and could not have asked for a more exact fit. Nice wide toe box for wiggle room, enough arch support, without being too aggressive, for my high arches, adequate padding for heels and ankles but NOT over padded on the tongue, stable heel support, and a durable sole without all the ridiculous artistic pieces that just end up wearing off too quickly. I want a durable shoe that will LAST at these prices! AND NO WHITE SOLES!! I do not like all the white soles on American shoes. Not logical, looks awful. These have a soft seafoam sole that beautifully compliments the body of the shoe, and even the laces blend into the seafoam colour scheme. Brilliantly put together, impeccably constructed, incredibly comfortable, and yes, an amazingly PRETTY running shoe! Just WOW!! I am going to buy a backup pair in the event whoever designed this shoe dies, or no other company is intelligent enough to follow the most beautifully thought out colour scheme ever to grace women’s athletic shoes.
Unless your feet are skinny, these fit true to size with room for socks and/or custom insoles, as the insoles are removable. As they should be, for cleaning or replacement.
My feet are so happy, my eyes are so happy, I may wear these shoes even with summer dresses on long walks. Hoping Asics will make these in blues next, and perhaps shades of burgundy? If you don’t want to feel like you’re bouncing on marshmallows, but you desire the extra cushion needed to protect your feet and joints, these shoes are the perfect solution. They look elegant instead of clownish.

I had a pair of Gel Excite 7’s. They changed the shoe slightly by making the toe area more round vs pointed which even made these shoes even more comfortable. Great shoe for the price for exercising. ASICS last so much longer than any $200 Nike shoes I have bought in the past and more comfortable.
